Ali Gholamzadeh
Master student at Max Planck for Biological Cybernetics

I am a Master’s student in Neural Information Processing at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics and University of Tübingen. I am working on my master’s thesis under the supervision of Dr. Noor Sajid and Prof. Peter Dayan . My thesis project explores how optimal transport theory can be applied to enable online transformation between distinct outcome modalities for downstream decision-making tasks.
My current interests lie mainly in Reinforcement Learning and improving current RL methods to enhance RL agents, by drawing insights from natural decision-making processes to potentially make them more generalizable and perform well in out-of-distribution scenarios and dynamic environments with a gradual increase in complexity.
